Livermore Downtown Specific Plan Amendments and
Regional Performing Arts Theater Subsequent EIR

A new 2,000-seat Performing Arts Theater has been proposed for the Downtown. The Downtown Specific Plan area consists of approximately 272 acres located near the geographic center of the City of Livermore. The plan area is in Livermore's historic Downtown area, located about a half mile south of I-580. In 2003, LSA prepared a program EIR for the City of Livermore General Plan and Downtown Specific Plan. In 2008, LSA was asked to prepare a Subsequent EIR to analyze amendments to the Downtown Specific Plan. The Subsequent EIR evaluated the Theater at a "project" level, but the other amendments were analyzed at a "program" level of review.
